WINDOWS
In this series I used four matchboxes to create windows that either look in or out. A few have very strange wooden cutouts—I’m not sure what they were used for.
Window 5: Mildred was created for an auction held by the North and South River Watershed.
The box honors one time Norwell resident, Mildred Hastings, who was beloved by the town for her garden expertise and her eccentricities—
dressed in a flowing red cape and large brimmed hat, she would drive her Studebaker convertible around town.
